Apparently I have excellent timing.
I hire Crimson Blades then virtually the next day one head of a great house goes missing then another is murdered? Not to mention the collapse of order in the city. I suspect their price would have been much higher had I waited a week.
Just what is happening within House Thrax though? I am surprised that Prince Victus ascended without the deaths of any of his half brothers.

Demons, magic, myths, rumours, what is undoubtedly heresy or sounds like absolute fantastical nonsense mixed with first hand accounts from people I know and trust. Conspiracies with mind altering powers? The information accumulated and recently shared with me is shocking in the extreme, how much of it is true?

My first conversation with a Mirrormask, it seems she is intelligent, charming and altogether persuasive when it comes to sharing her beliefs with others. I am also fairly convinced that makes her all the more dangerous but that does not mean I cannot agree with Princess Isolde on a great many things which do not touch upon religion. This is definitely something to speak to Cassandra about.

What happened to Ansel? I do not speak about this in a negative light, but I do not remember him being an utter master of the blade, he brought down Lady Eirlys without her landing a single real blow and with immense speed, while she is definitely one of the best swordswomen I have had the misfortune to find opposite me in a sparring ring.

Princess Eleyna, she is not a woman I was entirely happy to see again and our reunion one that threatened to turn frosty, though it turned out pleasant enough and quiet informative. Her cousin Prince Luca certainly seems formidable if altogether less sure in battlefields social rather than martial. Somebody has invested a great deal in his outfitting for that matter.

Prince Edain is my liege lord yet hardly seems to know it even in such dire times, it was good to see him again though I am still not quite sure how to take his utterly relaxed demeanour. Fortunately I am quite sure it is genuine humility and sense of personal honour and responsibility I am glad to see undiminished despite such a position of nearly unchecked power.

Encountering Cassandra again after all of these years was a very strange experience, she is still my big sister but rather than being my future liege lady she is now an Arch Lector? I know how to relate to my sister but not an Arch Lector.
Fortunately she seems much the same, if somehow even more serious, after travelling all of the way across the continent it was a huge relief to fine one familiar and much missed face.
