Cult Elimination

Posted by Alistair on 12/30/17
The High Inquisitor of the Inquisition exits the House of Questions looking dour as ever.

"This morning agents of the Crown and those loyal to the Compact uncovered a cult that was dedicated to the Pirate King of the Mourning Sea. Similar worshippers and cultists are the same who pounced upon Dame Zhayla in assassination and killed Lord Killian Ashford when proper justice was sought. They have been interrogated and executed for crimes against the Compact. I thank those who dedicated themselves to the efforts and the citizens of Arx who were patient while this task was performed."

He regards the crowd in silence for a moment, and then continues.

"The act of bending the knee, of forsaking so called 'Abandoned' roots and becoming a prodigal of the Compact is a sacred tradition to the Compact of Avrum. Civilization is home and hearth to those in the wilds, and all should be welcomed accordingly. I as well as many others have benefitted from this tradition. Those who abuse this right of welcome into the Compact will be dealt with harshly."

Another beat of silence. "And those who seek to persecute or assault former Abandon and Prodigal, without due reason or due justice, will not be looked kindly upon."

He turns and departs for the House of Questions.

--- Grimhall Stance (from Harald) ---
There is no Pirate King of the Mourning Sea. Only a fallen pretender.

--- Deepwood Stance (from Samantha) ---
House Deepwood thanks the Inquisition and those others involved in bringing Dame Zhayla's murderers to justice.

--- Leary Stance (from Fairen) ---
Thanks go to the Inquisition for it's diligent work in keeping the Compact safe.

--- Darkwater Stance (from Darrow) ---
May our warnings go heeded the next time. The Deeps casts wide tendrils - and the Darkwater will keep chopping them off where we find them.

--- Faith of the Pantheon Stance (from Orazio) ---
It is good we are not so open that we invite heretics and blasphemers to stab us in the heart. The Faith commends the Inquisition's work.
