Corruption & Iron Guard

Posted by Ainsley on 03/06/17
Arvum,

During a time of unrest in the Boroughs of the city, the Iron Guard has looked in on its own. We have been given compaints of corruption; bribery, violence, exortion, and misuse of authority by some of the members of the Iron Guard. Since before even the unrest began, the Iron Guard has been trying to rebuild itself. We have been trying to make our name one that is respected after the way Everard betrayed the city, the crown, and the Iron Guard.

Now, during the unrest we have made head way into rooting out the corruption that might still linger within the Iron Guard.

It is with a saddened and angry heart that I must tell the people of Arvum: There have been not a small number of Gurdsmen accepting bribes. This is never acceptable and it -will- be dealt with, and it will be corrected.

To the Iron Guardsmen; if you have accepted bribes come forward to me now and I will be lenient. Your pay will be docked and sent back to your victims. And once I have your oaths before Limerance that this behavior will never happen again; you can move forward as Guardsmen. If you do not come forward and you are found to be accepting or demanding bribes the consequences will be much more dire.

Beyond this:

It is with utter rage that I must inform the people of Arvum: There is yet a tiny group of Iron Guardsmen who have committed murder in the pursuit of their corruption. There will be no leniency for these men and women. They will be executed for their crimes.

Even if I must see to the execution personally.

To Arvum:

The Iron Guard knows that it has failed you in the past, and it would seem that we have yet to root out all of the corruption. We are working, and we promise will serve you better.

By my hand,
First Officer Ainsley Grayson
