I am Sir Talen Artiglio, Sword of House Velenosa, Dark Knight of Lenosia. I am this, so appointed in every aspect save my birth names by the late Grand Duchess Esera of House Velenosa, the Archduchess of Lenosia.
It was my sworn duty to protect my liege with my life... and I failed. I will not permit this to happen again.
A Sword must be more than a champion of honour, they must be an extension of the arm and the throne's last line of defense. Yet, wielding alaricite or otherwise, one man must is still just that -- one man.
With this dire realisation I hereby establish the Mirrorguard; a small, dedicated and elite order whose command will fall under the purview of every carrier of the Velenosan heirloom, Mirror Blade, until the Thirteenth's final reap.
It is by oath these individuals will swear to protect the ruling, royal line of House Velenosa and by extension keep the unity of the Lyceum provinces intact.
No one may harm us unpunished.
