I cannot acknowledge a crime that has not been tried before the Sentinel in either Court nor Duel. Whether the Dominus Fawkhul is guilty of the Grand Duchess's death, by either accident or intent, cannot be said until it has been judged. Everyone, be it serf or King, deserves to be presumed innocent until the Sentinel guides our hand otherwise. Let no man be afraid to stand before the gods because the crowds would call for blood before all of the evidence has been gathered and weighed upon the scales.
